What is Keto Diet

What is Keto Diet
Keto diet is low-carb, high-fat diet. This diet is primarily made of fat. Keto diet encourages you to reduce the number of carbs you have in your diet to the barest minimum while increasing your carbs. If you are to follow this diet, you are to get 70-90% of your calories from fat and about 10-30% of calories from both carbs and protein.

Will Keto Diet Help You Lose Weight?
Keto diet works in a unique manner. This diet was created in 1920 as a treatment for epilepsy. The logic behind keto diet is that anytime you eat food, your body converts the carbs in your good to glucose and uses them as a primary energy source. Your body then stores the fat it does not need in various parts of your body.
When you follow keto diet, you eat fewer carbs. This means your body will switch to fats stored in your body as the primary source of energy. When this happens, you will burn more fat leading to a faster weight loss.
To test the ketone levels in your body, be sure to use a proper blood ketone meter.

What is Paleo Diet?
Another name for Paleo diet is the caveman diet. The logic behind this diet is that the prehistoric ancestors live longer and healthier because of the type of diet they get. This diet focuses on unprocessed or whole foods. When you follow this diet, you will be encouraged to eat foods like seafood, grass-fed meat, nuts, non-starchy vegetables, eggs, and fruits. You are not allowed to eat foods such as legumes, vegetable oils, potatoes, and grains when you are following the Paleo diet.
Paleo diet requires you to get a nutritional intake that includes 35% carbs, 35% fat, and about 30% protein macronutrient balance. Paleo frowns against foods such as refined carbs, processed foods, as well as dairy. It is believed that you can naturally reduce your intake of salt and sugar and even boost your overall health when you avoid these foods mentioned above.
