An overview of Malaysian Education System
In Malaysia, children starts education at the age of 4 years from the pre-school, but it is not mandatory.  Education at the primary level will start after children reaching 6 years of age. Before a few years ago only 6 years of the primary level was mandatory but since 2015 they also made five years secondary level mandatory.  The government of Malaysia provides free education for the primary level and secondary level too.  At the level of finishing education students need to write the public exam that is SPM and Saps.
People should have proper fund and the academic grade for further education. People who are completed or leaver after the secondary they can also obtain the extra education and can get certificate and diploma at the institution. To complete the pre-university programs takes time depends on the program chosen by students. It may take at least 1 year to complete matriculation program. SPM programs need at least the age 17 which is approved for admission.  There are the exams such as saps ibu bapa. Higher education includes the opportunities for the students such as Diploma, certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate too.
Malaysia allows entering the international students for all type of education system. At the tertiary level, Malaysia is the 11th rank in the world. This is a most popular destination for the education at the tertiary level.
Malaysia education is divided into two parts pre-tertiary level and tertiary education level.  Before some time there were two government authorities where pre-school to secondary education and teacher education was the under of ministry of education and higher education was under the ministry of higher education. In 2013 both sectors merged as one that gets named as the Ministry of Education Malaysia in Malay. Saps ibubapa exams are the public exam for the students who are at the end of education.
Education act and amendments - In Malaysia there are many Act and Amendments to education system, which includes The National Council on Higher Education Institution Act 1996, The Education Act 1996, The Universities and University College Act 1996. Etc.
Higher education funding - Students who are studying at the Public Universities they only need to pay tuitions fees. Education fees subsidies by the government. But who are studying at the private institutions they need to pay full fees on their own.  In Malaysia who is studying by themselves have much financial aid available. Such as scholarship who are studying at government universities and education loan for the private institutions.
Financial aid from the side of government provider which includes - The Public Services Department Scholarship Program, Various State Foundation, Government Linked Companies, The Ministry of Higher Education, The National Higher Education Fund. There are many scholarship schemes which made for the international student through the sectors like Government Linked Companies, The Malaysian Government on G-G arrangement, The Ministry of Education Malaysia and Others.
